This morn, for instance, the trade- winds are sweeping gently back and forth. The clouds are thinned over the sky—giving off a pale whitish blue—the very shade of which is cool and conducive to only sauntering both in activity and thought. On a day like this—one couldn’t whip up an all-fired urg- ency if they tried. ‘Tig indeed a time for day- dreaming—for idling one's motor— way down slow. Could it be that “Rock Fever” is in the air— whether or no—let’s just stroll about leisurely, and if you have not noticed—most of the shops in Our Town have two or more chairs—so, we could really. just sit a bit and chat of— BE&mE ze SHORT SALE! As you know, havé been trying for some time to hear Our Town’s fourteen piece band, “Los Mambo- leros” and must confess that whilst it might seem as if yours truly hips about at great pace—hither, and yon—truth of the mat- small dark design—seems as if this is the latest vogue. Enjoyed ever so much talking with Tony Villareal, Gilbert Adams, Robert Vargas, James Mira, Os- waldo Alfonso, and Ernest Vildos- tegui who looked very sharp with a black tie and boutinerre to match. No—didn’t dance—they did not ask me and after all yours truly’s rhumba is more rusty than somewhat, I'll clue you. ss ss Home Appliance, 605 Simonton Street is the shop to find both large and small housewares items. Now is the time to take to the outdoors and “cooking” al- ways is a special pleasure when done in one’s own All the Bar-B-Que parapherna! you'll need, including “chuck wagons” of stainless steel and small char- coal grills, and long-handied las, etc., are now on dis- play at Home Appliance. As you all know, these dances are given as not only social affairs, but with a view to build- ing a clubhouse in hte future. Oscar Cuervo is the Presidente and Nestor Dole is in charge of re- creation. Amadao Cuervo (Oscar’s brother) was visiting from Tampa. Am realy sorry didn’t get ot meet all the others, but did leave with the distinct impression—that here were wonderful people enjoying themselves tremendously to some | of the finest music yours truly has heard—a band Our Town should be proud of—LOS MAMBOLEROS! Wonderful, exotic Seafood (by all means try the | turtle or shrimp enchilado)—ter- | rific seascape to watch—and the charming and gracious hospitali- ty of George and Lillian Stone. ss3S2= While indiscernible, it is true that language never preesnts any real barrier when friendly peoples! meet. Of course, it proves to be a handicap, but still, well, now—the other, evening—met 'mongst many.
