SUE JONES, Editor Page 2 THE KEY WEST CI T'Y — PERSONALS — EN Thursday, June 17, 1954 Must tell you all the one about the big brawny man who went to work in an applesauce factory. His job was relatively simple—all he had to do was stand in front of the chute and as the apples rolled down—separate the ripe ones from the others. After a month or so had passed, the foreman noticed that the man had lost weight and looked quite ill. So much in fact, that he was quite concerned. Approaching the new worker, he inquired after his health—his family—his finances. When the man assured him that everything—but everything was all Hee the foreman was truly puz- zled. 2 And so, because his curiousity was Sreat—he finally said, “But Tom, just a month ago you came to work here and were so healthy and strong looking—and’ now—why man you’re wasting away.” Finally after a short silence, Tom shuffled his feet and reluct- antly raised his head and said— “All I do is stand here all day— selecting the ripe apples from the unripe ones—and these decisions are killing me!” —All of which is a round-about way of saying if you read “BB”, you'll never have trouble deciding where to shop— Saas No, Herman's at 512 Duval Street is not going out of the woman's apparel business.
