PB Page & Cundiff Goes From Jail To Hospital Bernie Cundiff was ordered from the city jail yesterday to the Mon- roe County General Hospital for ob- servation in connection with an in- fection of a hernia incision. Cundiff had been confined in the city jail after not paying the fine in city court on charges of Drunk and Disorderly and using profane janguage. He had been operated on for a hernia 8 days previous, Instructed Lang Louis Carbonell said that he had instructed the City Manager Vic- tor Lang to have Doctor Moore examine the man after talking to “him and observing the infection. \ Police Chief Perez took Cundiff for the examination after which he was ordered admitted to the hospi- aS unaitt said that he had spent the first night in jail, after sen- fencing, in a cell with a mattress where he had to use his shirt for pillow.
