The letter says: “On behalf of the Navy Relief Society I wish to; express my heartfelt thanks for; your contribution of $150 to the Navy Relief Society during the cur- rent fund raising campaign. “As you say, it is an extremely worthwhile cause, and all money received will be put to good use within the local area.” Soviet Returns Borrowed Ships ISTANBUL, Turkey — The Soviet Union has returned eight more ships lend-leased to it by the United States during World War II, leaving approximately 634 to be returned or accounted for. The eight, small motor torpedo boats and subchasers, were turned over to U. S. naval officials in the Sea of Marmara yesterday. The Russians previously had re- turned 27 frigates, 3 icebreakers and 9 merchant vessels.
