@7¢ PBO Boy Wounds Mom While Playing Russian Roulette DETROIT (#—Mrs. Faye Hub-' bard, 47, wife of suburban Dear- born Mayor Orville L. Hubbard, was accidentally shot by her 11- year-old son, Henry, as he was about to play Russian roulette last night. Mrs, Hubbard suffered a@ flesh) ‘wound in the upper right arm and, @ bullet burn on the back. She! was treated at a nearby clinic and! released. Mrs, Hubbard said she. walked! into the bedroom and found Henry in his father’s closet. “Henry said ‘Mama let’s play roulette’ and just about that time the gun fired and I felt a burning io my arm,” she reported. The weapon was a 38 caliber) revolver belonging to Mayor Hub-| bard. Mayor Hubbard said that his son hhad been talking of “‘Russian rou- Jette” some time and that Henry had become interested in the game efter reading about it in comic books. In Russian roulette, a single bul- let is loaded into the cylinder of @ revolver, The cylinder is then given a whirl and the trigger is Dulled while the gun is aimed at the head.
