Christmas Cookies Are Easy To Make, Simple To Serve, Delicious To Eat When Made From Tested Recipes There are recipes from all over the world for Christmas cook- ies, as varied as the ways of celebrating the Christian festival it- self. But to most busy homemakers at holiday season, threre is not the time to use these old heirloom recipes handed down from one generation to another. Instead, there are some simplified ways of making these time-honored sweets without sacrificing their goodness ‘one bit. So, for those last minute gifts, or to make your own Christmas table gay, here are a few recom- mended cookie recipes, tried and true, and also some for candies) Orange-Gumdrop Cookies (especially for the pig tail crowd, but their elders eat them, too.) 2 eggs 1 cup brown sugar % tsp. baking powder % cup chopped peanuts Pinch salt 4 eggs Credm shortening and Add molasses and well beaten eggs.
