Waltz Time Decorations were festive and in accordance with holiday season, dominated with a large Santa on the right of the bandstand, the rest lof the wall being covered with | green paper and a large Christmas jtree. Christmas ornaments glitter- jed all over the bandstand and the posts were wrapped to represent peppermint sticks with sprigs of pine, holly and loops of ribbon top- jping each one, Tables also had leenterpieces of pine and holly. Donald |Minner, USN, Commanding Officer USS Trutta, wore a pearl and se- quin encrusted gown of raw silk with shoes to match. Mrs. Minner was chairman of the dance. Among other top rank submarine navy present were Capt. C. L. Ben- nett, USN, Commanding Officer }USS Bushnell, and Mrs. Bennett who shared enjoyment with the other guests in a buffet supper that featured entrees of lobster newburg and roast beef.
