The large pool has some of the most amazing and brilliant fish imaginable swimming in it, Now, I can’t quite picture my- self splashing marrily around with these finny beauties, but they sure are nice to look at, Long have I wondered what Pigeon Key was really like from below, and it takes a trip of Key Hopping to find out! Don’t you be so neglectful. Next stop was at the wonderful Picnic area at Bahia Honda. Here the Overseas Highway Commission has thoughtfully cleared and erect- ed a truly perfect picnic area for the use of the public. There are Ppienic tables, barbecue pits, rest- rooms and dressing rooms, boat basins and even boats and motors | to hire. There is also a small re-j freshment stand if you run out of food, or degire cold drinks, Because of a very large bill- board and the fact that we still had -| a bit of time to spare, we took one of the bumpiest and worst roads of the Keys over towards Boca Chica Beach, and thereby found some new friends. It’s nice to be .|met with so warm a welcome as was tendered us by the folks at] | the place called “Mac's. The state of the road keeps many folks away, but the Boca Chica area} is a fine Keys playground and will some day be. developed to serve the folks right around here.
