MIRA’S PERFECT BUNT WINS GAME FOR KIWANIS BY 5-4 SCORE HAZY MOON NOSES OUT BONNIE]... - VFW Beats Rotary 14-4 In Nighicap George Mira’s perfect bunt with two outs in the eighth inning scored Skaggs from third base and enabled the Kiwanis to squeeze a 5-4 victory over the Shriners in the first game of a Little League doubleheader at Bayview Park last night. In the nightcap, the VF W rout- ed the Rotary, 14-4. Roy Valdez, Kiwanis ace righthander, allowed only two hits while fanning 18. The Shriners started their scor- ing in the fourth when Crusoe singled and moved around on a wild pitch and a passed ball, but the Kiwanis came back in their half of the fourth and took a 2-1 lead on an error and singles by Sawyer and D. Garcia. The Shriners bounced back into the lead in the fifth when they tal- lied three times on two walks, a fielder’s choice, an error, and Pauley’s single, but the Kiwanis tied it up in their half ‘of the fifth on a walk, two errors and a single by T.
