Looks like Monday and Tuesday is real good for shopping on Du- val Street. — xk Being Secretary of the Key West Players just naturally gives me a great big interest in the group. This play, “Our Town” by Thorn- ton Wilder is a very wonderful play. I saw it in New York when Martha Scott became famous thereby, and vice versa. It’s been produced many, many times, but often as it’s put on the boards, that’s as often as I want to see it and so I am glad that my own group are opening Mon- day Night at the Barn Theatre with this play. I went to the readings, but by no stretch of the imagination could I play a 16 year old part, so I stayed awhile and listened awhile, and now I want to see it com- pleted as the Barn Players will do it, I’ve heard it’s wonderful, and my old and good friend Jonathon Jackson takes the role of the +| Stage Manager, so it’s a must on my list! xk Golly it’s hot! And one of the Sigsbee Snackery characters, as Portrayed in Saturday's ad is a real wise guy and knows just where to go! We've said it before, and we are so glad we said it, that we are going to say it again. . the Snackery gives the bigjest help- ings of ice cream we've ever seen. Tops in my estimation is the touche of a University of Cal- fornia professor who received a eall from a lady at three in the/ A. M. who told her neighbor fur- jously that his dogs barking was/ keeping her awake, and then hung up without waiting for his reply Next morning at three he called back. “Madam,” said he, “I have no dog.” You know, you have to be pretty | darned peeved to get up the second morning at three to make that call. You also have to have a pretty good mind to think up the right answer and how to make it. 5 ieee aed And now for the third and last sale of this Shop Hoppin’ day, but by no means the least.
