Garrison, wife of. city police officer Robert Garrison, last night hurled a charge at City Manager Dave King that he is a “peeping tom.” Mrs. Garrison told the city com- mission that King has caus- ed her “gross and shocking indignities’ when he peeked into her window on the night of February 18th. The charges, contained in a lengthy letter read last night at the regular meeting of the com- mission, stemmed from an_ inci- dent in which King said that he went to the Garrison home to check on the validity of the po- lice officer's claim that he was ill, King averred that repeated rapping on the doors and win- sai VOL. BY DOROTHY RAYMER A series of communications have been crisscrossing the country since the first story written about the plight of six-months-old Jas- per Walker, Jr., the baby who |needs treatment for a brain disease, Today a letter in answer to one sent by Commissioner Clar- ence Higgs on February 22 along with clippings of the story, arrived from Frank Edwards, commenta- tor for the Mutual Broadcasting System. Edwards wrote that if the case is called “hopeless” he is “willing te provide the Drones- Lazenby Cancer Clinic therapy as a fast resort.” In addition, a wire has been re- ceived by the Shrine Club in Key West from the Shrine organiza- tion in Rochester, Minn., where Baby Jasper is now being examin- ed by a@ specialist of the Mayo Clinic, that diagnosis has not been completed and that examination is continuing. A check for $115 dollars’ was given to me by Comptroller Ed- ward Kaplan of the Key West Ken- nel Club which donated net gate receipts from the dog track one night last week. Until today, Dixon had been issuing summons, ten to 12 a day since the tag deadline February 20. These permitted the driver 12 to 24 hours to get his tag. Starting today there will be no more summons, arrests only. An arrest means that Dixon can take the delinquent tag buy- er into the Sheriff's office or the Justice of the Peace. There a bond must be post- ed until an appearance is made in Criminal Court, Dixon said. Dixon will pick up not on- ly delinquent Monroe county drivers, but all who's home State tags have expired.
