COL. LOUIS 8. FRANK, (.A-P. Deputy Director of Civilian Defense, State of New York, was a guest of the local group at its first meeting in the new location at the Armory. As a member since 1942, Col. Frank served with the Coast Patrol during the war and he explained to the group how shipping was protected as far out as possible with small aircraft. At the meeting, seventeen promotions were announced and Captain Specht outlined a program of courses which are available now. Cadets and Seniors signed up according to their interests. The courses are to start at the next meeting on Feb. 19 at the Armory at 8 p.m. In the group Pictured are, first row, left to right, Lt. Bushnell Has Anniversary Celebration The Submarine ‘Tender USS Bushnell, now serving in Norfolk, has celebrated the anniversary of its re-commissioning. The . Tender is serving as repair ship for Sub- marine Squadron 6 while the USS ae, is operating in the.
