Beauty Queens To Lend Charm At Track Opening January 31 Key West will witness the open- ing of the acclaimed most beauti- ful dog track in Florida on Satur- @ay night, January 31st. The open- fing promises to be a gala and @olorful event when the Key West ennel Club takes its bow in Key West, Florida. A bevy of Florida Beauty Queens e being brought to Key West for ie occasion, promising to add Much beauty to the festivities of the day. Among the queens to be resent will be Shirley Young, Miss iami; Iris Maxwell, Miss Tele- vision of the South; Sandra Worth, ‘iss Coral Gables and Junior and nior Baton twirlers of nine utheastern States; Toby Gerard, een, of the Fishing Tournament, land of course, our own Queen of pene, Gloria Muniz who is Miss ‘ey West. Also lending importance to the casion will be the presence of layor C. B. Harvey and Mr. Dave ing, City Manager; County Com- issioners, and other County and ‘ity officials. Captain A. E. Buck- y, Commanding Officer of the aval Air Station in Key West and @ther high ranking Naval officers will be some of the box seat hold- ers, as well as prominent Key West merchants.
