Mary T. Smith. The County Director’s office was visited recently by a group of boys ranging in years from 6 to 14 who wanted some special mission in the polio drive. They suggested a “Wishing Well” or some similar activity. Among these young men were the Walterson brothers of 603 Thomas Street, William, Henry and Jerry, and Jeffery Berman. Volunteers are needed, prefera- bly an organization, to operate a stand on which will be displayed bottles bearing labels for each state in the union. In past years this method of raising funds has proven very successful as it is an invitation to tourists from many states to fill bottles labeled with the name of their state; all of which goes to swell the total con- tribution to the March of Dimes in Monroe County.
