FLORIDA Ea Slingshot Killers Of Key West Birds Arrested Speedily Any boy caught killing birds with slingshots will be arrested and placed in de- tention. Probation Officer Mrs. Isabel Fleming warned today. A. rash of bird-killing ‘youngsters is threatening the bird population of Key West, the Juvenile Court worker said today. ‘ One of the boys has already been placed on probation for the offense. “We will be hard on these boys who are wantonly kill- ing the birds of the Island with their slingshots.” Mrs. Fleming stressed. “Any one caught will be immediately arrested and tried in the Juvenile court.” Six boys were apprehended on Sunday for the offense on White street, she said. “This is just the beginning. ‘We will crack down on these bird killers until they learn the birds are protected by the law.” RED CHINA AND NORTH KOREANS ASK UN VOICE UNITED NATIONS, N.
