Father John Armfield, president, said that the Association had been ask- ed at a meeting with the JayCees and Key West; Kennel @lub yesterday to provide two speakers against the track. _ ._When he questioned ministers this morning, they suggested im- mediately that the JayCees be called upon to provide at least one of the anti-dog track speak- ers. The fact that the club was the first civic layman’s group to come out im,ppposition to the track was advanced as one reason. “The JayCees have some excell- ent speakers,” said Father Arm- field,” The Rev. Ralph Rogers moved bi Father Armfield and the Rev. J.-P. Touchisn toke the necessary: steps to obtain the speakers. They agreed that they will get in touch with the club immediately so that one of the JayCees anti-dog track spokesman can take the floor at Bayview Park on September 25. Speaking for the track will be lawyers Abe and Sidney Arono- vitz. Abe Aronovitz is President of the Key West Kennel Club and Sidney, secretary. Father Armfield explained to the association how yesterday’s noon meeting came about. “The dog track people told the JayCees that they were go- ing to hold a rally and asked the JayCees to sponsor it.
