Gilmore, submarine tender, and largest ship | moored at the U.S. Naval Station here, was taken over by 450 child-| ren, plus parerfts, at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The children, ail belonging to naval personnel of Submarine Squadron Four, were being enter tained at the annual Gilmore Christmas party. Each child received a gift from’ Santa Claus, especially wrapped just for him. The wrapping and individual name tagging was done by wives from the squadron. The children were treated to ice cream and cake and to special Christmas movies. All-in-all it was a big day for children and parents of SubRon} Four, thanks to the planning and work of the ship’s chaplain, Lt. L.A.
