This coming week, May 6-13 is Home Week throughout the Southern Baptist Convention which is ‘made up of nearly peng po esearnd and over 27,000 urehes i en . covering 22 Specidl services will be held in the First Baptist church tomor- row and Sunday, May 13. Recog- nitions will be made of all famil- ies and homes of the church mem- bership. Tomorrow morning the pastor, Rev. George M. Ray, will speak on the subject, “Building My Church,” Special music by the choir will be rendered. Sun- day evening, the pastor will speak on, “True Repentence.” The Lord’s Supper will be observed by candlelight at the close of the evening service. Prior to the Lord's Supper, there will be a “Dedication Service” conducted by the pastor, at which time everyone wishing to rededicate his and her life to the Lord will be given the opportunity. These are perilous times in which we live, and the Almighty God is calling men and women,} boys and girls, to rededicate their| lives to the Kingdom’s Cause. When the world is at its worst God calls men to be at their best.! No half-way Christian nor church Let’s Face It by GEORGF M. The temper finds full and sweet release at church, but if this same temper flew the coop at the office or in school or ; almost anywhere else, there’d be a sentence to serve in prison. Mr. Rogers explains this rele- tionship by saying that to be a good soldier one must do guard duty. Walking “post” is some- times a lonely and dangerous duty. In fact soldiering is danger- ous. When assigned amout-post in the late hours of the night, or wee ' early hours of the morning, every | sound ‘or flutter of a leaf, send a chill through the most ' hardéned and ‘seasoned soldier.
