G. Momsen, Assistant Chief of Naval Operations and in charge of undersea warfare, He discus- sed the pigmy submarine in a speech at a businessmen’s lunch- eon here. Admiral Momsen said _ the Navy intends to build its subma- rine defense against enemy sub- arines around the new small type vessel now under construction. He said three of these under- sea killers are. being built at pre- _Sent—with the first due for de- livery next year, Admiral Momsen is the inven-} tor of the famous Momsen lung, which is used for escaping from submarines, and_he also is an ex- perienced cubmarine officer.
