WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5, Drop Plans For Holding Mothers’ Day Celebration Plans for conducting a Mothers’ Day celebration next month for j parents of Navy men stationed here have been dropped, it was announced today. Tentative arrangements were discussed by a committee repre- senting he YMCA, civic organe fizations and churches over the! past few weeks toward setting up a three-day celebration honoring } mothers of servicemen who might come to Key West to visit their sons next month. Because of insufficient res onse the idea has been abandoned for this year. It has been decided that perhaps not enough time was allowed for advising parenta ‘of the plan.
