O’Bryant joined Architect William J. Merriam of Coral Gables, and they went together to go before the-state board. It was stated the plans must be ap- proved by the state before any work can be done on Monroe’s | schools. The local school board approv- ed the tentative plans prepared by Architect Merriam, and the school superintendent will ad- vertise for bids as soon as the state approves of the plans. The estimated cost of the work is $453,000.
