In the first game, Williams pitched a great game and did not allow a run or a hit in the first ning with two out, a fleider’s choice and a homer by Richards put two runs over the plate for the Blimp-Rons. Tator hit a sin- gle and that was all for the Blimp boys. The Independents scored one in the first on three walks and a wild pitch, three in the second, 2 walks and Cawley went to the showers and Richards came in to pitch, Williams fanned, Oropesa singled and two runs scored. He stole second, an error put him over the plate. In the third, Henriquez hit a double, stole third and a wild pitch put him over the plate. In the sixth, Barber doubled‘ and a wild pitch and a fly to left put him home. The last run was scored in the seventh. J. Solomon hit safely and Hen- riquex hit a pop fly, but K. Solo- mon hit a double and J. Solomon scored the last run for the In- dependents. At bat, Henriquez hit two doubles and Oropesa hit two sin- gles. For the losers; Richards homer featured.
