Tourney May Be Discontinued The Island City Fishing Tourn- ament, sponsored each year will be discontinued if a bill to be introduced in the Legislature, Monday, should be passed. The bill to be introduced by Fletcher Morgan, representative from Du- val county, would prohibit the holding of fishing tournaments in the state of Florida for awards or prizes. The bill further pro- vides a fine of $200, ninety days in jail, or both. The Florida Outdoor Writers tmve already sent telegrams to various representatives at Talla- hassee urging them to oppose the bill. Locally the Junior Chamber Key West jof Gommerce has sent wires to Reprysentative B.C. Papy and Senator James Franklin urging them to oppose the bill. Introduced as a conservative bill, the measure would not ap- ply to commercial fishermen, but would do irreparable harm to the tourist industry in Florida.
