United States Navy. The wedding, with full military - panoply, was held in St. Paul's Episcopal Church here, at 5:00 P. M., ‘with the Rev. James H. Mc- Connell officiating at the double- ring candlelight ceremony. The exquisite bridal gown as * worn by Miss Brown was of mar- ” quisette with portrait lace neck- | line, shaped bodice and a_ full) gathered skirt with lace on panels to the hemline; pointed long sleeves of silk net and a court - train also of lace. Her veil was of white illusion dropping from a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a lovely bouquet of white; carnations, candytuft and white satin. The Church, beautifully deeo- rated for the event, had large white candles in. candelabra, tall baskets of white gladioli and green palms. White gladioli and * satin ribbons marked off the pews oceupied by families of the bride and groom and honored guests. Miss Brown was given away in marriage by her brother, Rich- ard Bentley Brown, and her maid of honor was her cousin, Miss Alice Burma Steed, of Orlando, while Miss Daphne Gay Connelly “of Sanford acted as bridesmaid Lt. Blair, were all attired in winter blue full dress Naval = uniforms. « Gowns of the bride’s were of light yellow taffeta, with basque bodices, portrait neek- lines, bourrant skirts in bustle ef- _ fects, and they wore matching - long gloves. Their hats were of * aeeordion-pleated light yellow - tulle with ruffles of orchid tulle, - dipping in front and trimmed attendants with sprays of erchid lilacs and - heather caught with tulle and . long streamers of orchid ribbon, resulting in a eharmingly old- fashioned effect. They carried , yellow daffodils and lavender tu- lips with matching ribbon. Mother of the bride, Mrs. Mose- ley, wore a flowing gown of Bes- ~ sie-blue chiffon, with a bodice al- so of blue chiffon with neckline of blue lace embroidered with sil- ver sequins. Her hat was of blue plumes caught with blue tulle, and her long gloves also blue. Her = corsage was a lovely arrangement ef a ~ of pink carnations. Ball of Jacksonville, wore a * charming gray gown, a hat of blue and dusty rose tulle and car- ried pink rosebuds. The patio porch fea- tured an arrangement of large sprays of palms forming an arch for the reception line, and there were tall lighted white candles amid baskets of. white gladioli and satin. The bride’s table held a garland of white flowers — ferns and silver candelabra, tive green palms were used thru- out in the general decorative scheme. Greeting guests at the recep- tion was Mrs. James B. Stockdale, following which Lt. James B. Stockdale officiated at the introductions to the bride's mother, the mother and father of the groom, and the bride’s grand- mother. In the receiving line were the bride and groom, the maid and honor and the bridesmaid. Mrs. Stephen W.' Douglass and Miss Etta Patterson served the bride’s caké, and the wives of the groomsman and ushers presided at the punchbowl, with Mrs. Heg in charge of the bride’s book. Miss Willa Steed, Mrs. Cook and Miss Cruickshank also served. Mrs. Glennon chose as her go- ing-away attire an autumn-green suit with fitted and flared-bottom jacket. Her accessories were of lighter green, and she wore a cor- sage of white rosebuds and talis- man roses. Lt. and Na- Mrs. Glennon und on the Isle of Pines, return- ing to Key West on February Ist, when they will be at home at 608 Eaton Street. The former Miss Brown is the daughter of Mrs. Jesse Edward Moseley, of Palm Island, Miami, formerly of Sanford, Florida. She graduated from Seminole High School in Sanford, and later at- tended the Florida State College for Women at Tallahassee, where she was a pledge of AL Omega j Sorority. Lt. Glenon is the son.of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Glennon, Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from the Hersh High School there and then attended the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1941 and 1942. He entered the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland and was a member of the gradu- ating class of 1945. He is at pre- sent stationed in Key West on the U. S. S. Odax. Out of town guests attending the wedding and_ reception in- cluded the following, all of whom were at the Casa Marina Hotel during their stay here: Mr. and Mrs. W. Steed, Miss Willa Steed, Miss Alice Steed and Master Jo- seph Ball Steed, all of Orlando, Florida. Mrs. Joseph G._ Ball, mother of the bride, is from Jack- sonville, Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins Connelly and Miss Daphne Con- nelly are from Sanford, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Steed live in] ‘Tampa.
