But the ideas of the Christmas story are conceiv- ed in terms which are fa- miliar to the individual wor- shipers, says Daniel Johnson Fleming in his hook, “Each With His Own Brush.” Al- though he finds Christian art in its infancy throughout the Orient, his book contains a number of pictures from In- dia and China stressing the Christmas symbolism, but containing many of the fea- tures associated with other Oriental art.
