McDermott, 1108 Fleming street, are celebrat- ing their 24th wedding anniver- sary and Mr, McDermott’s 55th birthday today. In recalling his wedding day, July 10, 1923, MeDermott reminisced of his arrival in Key West a few years before that date and the factors which caused him to remain here. “After the war,” he said, “I|% was assigned to Fort Roots in Arkansas and from there was sent to one hot day dressed in heavy, woolen O.D.'s (olive drab) and loaded down with baggage.
