This activity day was for the purpose of making articles to be placed on sale on Saturday, April 5, and the money obtained from the sale will be used to help fi- nance an overnight camping trip in the near future, but the urge to help others was responsible for them taking time out to lend a helping hand when it was learned that the Red Cross needed empty coffee bottles. The girls cheerful- ly scoured the neighborhood and in a short time returned with more than enough bottles, and happy in the thought that once again they had put into practice the third Girl Scout law, “A’ Girl Scout’s duty is to be useful and help others.” Resuming their task of the morning, the girls worked long and hard at belt and sewing kit making, and although there were many tired fingers and _ paint spots on the group, they each de- clared they had a grand time and would like to have an activity day every Saturday. Here again is proof that adult leadership is so badly needed for our young people, and the third Girl Scout law can equally be ;carried out by adults as well as the girls. The following girls took part in the “Activity Day” affair: Lynn Sellers, Teressa Bard- well, Betty Davis, Frances Meggs, Eleanor Gato, Jackie Sheaffer, ‘Grace Fernandez, Jackie Dela- ney, Joan Wood, Barbara Meggs, Zola Camus, June Yates, Edyth Hampton, Lalah Tims, Elsie Lee Thompson, Betsy Ramsay, Betty Tims, Gale Curry, Patsy Yates, Gloria Nunez, Josephine Gon- zalez. oseseeheneennnteneenamamenenemmemmameietmanmmatell Berthe Si SRNR SCNT ALE POT A TS Trouts Have Son Mr. and Mrs. William H.
