Theaters Are Asked To Aid Polio Drive Theater owners throughout the mation have been called upon by moving picture operators to par- ticipate in the 1947 March of Dimes by taking up collections during shows, from January 24- 30, Mrs. Wilhelmina Harvey, Mon- foe County campaign director of the National Foundation for In- fantile Paralysis fund- raising drive, disclosed today, A copy of a telegram sent to theatrical circuit executives by Richard F. Walsh, president of the | International Alliance of The- , 1 atrical State Employees and Mov- ing Picture Theater Operators, re- ceived by the campaign chairman, read as follows: “Throughout the war, we mo- tion picture projectionists gave our time, our sincere efforts, and worthy cause. Now that the war is over, our first thought in peace is the health and happiness of our children. The Motion Picture Theater owners originated collec- tions for the March of Dimes to fight infantile parlysis.
