Hamlin said he will see Judge Wayne Allen, president of the} league, tomorrow evening. Con- firmation of his appointment was received from Allen, municipal court judge of Miami, this morn- ing. The Stadium chairman said he would also see Paul Waner and Max Carey, former Pittsburgh Pi- rates stars, tomorrow morning. A definite effort to make the Key West team a farm for a ma- jor league club, poss oly the Pi- rates, is being made, Hamlin said. Waner is manager of the Miami Sun Sox and Carey operates a Girls Baseball School in Miami. ‘The Pirates train at Miami Beach. Hamlin also has an appointment te see Tiny Parker, owner of the Sun Sox. “It appears quite definite that Key West will be in the league,” Hamlin said. “The interest mani- fested by fans in Key West has been encouraging. It looks like @ definite proposition.” Hamlin said that he had re- leased nothing on the matter pre- viously since there was nothing} definite to announce. Communi-! cations have just been received | from other clubs, however, notify- ing the Key West backers that) Key West will be welcome to the league. Carbonell, in reporting the burglary, said he did not know what was missing, but presumed the camp been completely ransacked Chief Deputy Moreno Wallace was scheduled to make a per- sonal examination of ‘the camp late today.
