Many Key West night clubs have unusual and wierd dec- orations of the local scene, many of them depicting sub- tle humor. The Officer’s club in this city is decorated with scenes of Key West life. In addition to the colorful Key West scenes, the artistic bartender. has also drawn caricatures of bleary eyed men and women from Bos- ton’s Scullery Square. Some Mirons' are in Boston galler- ies and other Eastern Art museums. Reid has assigned two more medical corpsmen to take over the fishing boat at the hospital when two men, Dolin and O'Toole, leave Monday. According to “The Scalpel” hospital paper, “the fish stand a chance of attaining a ripe old age in these warm Florida wat- ers” when these two corpsmen leave. Hospital patients are given fishing trips. as. a recuperative measure. 5 Chambermaid 47 Years Takes Guests To Task EUGENE, Ore. — AP — Little Mrs. Emma Talbot, retiring after 47 years as a chambermaid, says hotel guests have degenerated amazingly during the last half- century. They shine shoes on towels and carry off half the hotel equipment, complained the 77- year-old woman, “and every year they are getting dirtier.” So the 4 foot 4% inch tall woman, who figures she’s made 300,000 beds, decided never to make another bed for profit. But “Little Emma,” as hotel residents call her, wasn’t ready to quit working at only 77. She’s opening a clothing alteration shop. Cleaner work. SENSITIVE The mother and daughter were very busy with the wedding plans when the bridegroom-to-be call- ed. He watched the preparations rather impatiently for a while, until his future wife noticed his look of annoyance. “Darling, we have such a lot to do,” she soothed, “and if we RATES Regular Type minimum 15 words or less is 30c.
