At the close’ of business April 30 of last year, total of postal savings was $2,026.- 784, but at the close of busi- ness on the same date this year the amount. had = in- creased to $2,256,016. Sale of postal stamip stock still is showing a decrease in monthly comparisons with last year. and, Postmaster Bervaldi explained that the decrease is due to the thous- ands of servicemen who have left Key West since the end of the war.
