Associated Press Day Wire Bervice and AP Features For 66 Years Devoted to the Best interests of Key West AGENTS GRAB DE-. VICES IN SURPRISE MOVE ON CAMP BAIT BASKET CHARGED This afternoon Peace Jus- tice Esquinaldo issued a war- rant against the proprietor of Eddie's Bait Basket, charging him with possessing gamb- ling devices, including slot machines. Esquinaldo said that this case was similar to the one against Mrs, Weaver —having gambling devic fa places where liquor or wine and beer are sold. State Beverage Department su- pervisors, moving into town on the quiet, confiscated four slot machines in a raid on the Weaver Camp on Stock Island, late yes- terday. The raid was conducted by Su- pervisors Avery Wilhelm and Fred S. Elrod, who arrived in Key West unheralded. As the liquor license for the camp is made out in the name of Mrs. Thomas Weaver, @ warrant was issued this morning for her arrest, but she posted a $500 bond with Sheriff Sawyer, waived ex- amination before a peace justice and will go to trial in criminal court.
