The governor’ declares he does not care which time is se- lected as long as it is the same all over Florida. He has already asked all mu cipalities to .make a_ decision. Some have done so, others are waiting the action of the major- ity and the rest wish to remain as is. ‘Tne drive to adopt daylight sav- ing time in Florida is gaining sup- port all over the state, however. Miami, Fort Lauderdale, St. Pe- tersburg and other cities have al- ready announced they will change over to daylight saving time on| April 22 to conform to the faster, time of New York and other large northern ctiies. As the majority of the nation wide ‘broadcast over’ national hook-ups emanate in New York the Florida Association of Broad: casters “has requested that th state change to daylight saving time. The broadcasters claim this must be done to avoid confusing in ‘the air over Florida. u West Palm Beach city commis- sion has asked its clerk to prepare an ordinance'to make the change to daylight saving time.
