The general trend seems to be on the fields of 1. Advertising of Key West to offset bad publicity and create a desire for tourists visit to .Key West. 2. Catering to the Navy needs. 3. Catering to the tourist needs. 4. Cleaning up the town 5. Encouraging worthwhile in- dustrial projects designed to ad- vance the city in a tourist and navy fashion. 6. Continual letters to state and national representa- tives and congressmen and other state and: national departments which deal with Key West. This is a much neglected field in the past. s *& kt LOOK UP, LOOK. GOOD! The oldest home may be turned into a museum in the future. So things are not dormant by a long shot. But the business- men are going to add their weight and help to these projects y, to keep ’em going. e PAINT-UP, CLEAN-UP! Sightséeihg’ bus’ around town for visitors with trained guides will probably be another important project. e ° INFORMATION BOOTH One of the strongest points which came up at the Board meeting last night and. which struck us all very well was the information booth planned for the little triangle of ground at the entrance to Roosevelt Boule- vard with beautifcation of the plot in the plan. The Junior Chamber of Commerce all over the state have these information booths and it is about the friend- liest way of first greeting the tourist.
