My The Red Raiders’ baseball team will make its first road trip of 1946 season, Friday, Febru- 22. The Raiders will play a game in Ft. Myers on Saturday, Feb. 23, a twin bill with Tampa on Sunday, Feb. 24. In Ft. Myers the boys will meet a ball club managed by that well known baseball mentor, Herb Thomas. He has promised to give the local team lots of competition. The game with Ft. Myers will be dived Saturday afternoon. Then the ary and the Raiders will move up to Tam- | pa Sunday morning and will be set to tackle the minor league stars which the Tampans will have against them. Their first game will start at 1:30 p.m. and it will most likely be against Cireulo Cubano. The latter club finished in second place in the Inter-Social League of Tampa. Red Raiders are aware of the fact that they will meet stiffer competition than they have been playing here in Key West, but they have one thing which none of the teams in this city have at the present moment, and that is spirit. Regardless of how the score may read, the boys are will- ing to play ball until the final out is made. They have yet to fail to show up for a game at Municipal Stadium. The Raiders will be fighting harder to win in Myers, and Tampa, ‘not only se the idea of winning a bal? e is down their alley, but be- cause they want to make a goud showing for Key West.
