It.is probably safe to say that nothing is more satisfying than a photograph, except for the actual person. And what is more doubly satis- jfying than a photograph of a young local lady in ‘a’ bedatitul dress. Well that is just what Herman hag done. Cuts have ar- rived showing a pretty young lady with a new creation of dress design which Herman now has. We won't tei: you who the young lady is but watch for Herman’s ad this week and you will see a mighty pretty dress and a mighty pretty young lady. e e FIRST LEADS ARE RUMORS Show you what a good serv- ice an ink and paper record does in a paper, first iead we got cn the story yesterday that nc one service station would be desig- nated as an inspecting station for cars but that the police would | handle this, wag that Sweeting’s had beeri cesignated. We cover the city hall pretty thoroughly and hadn’t heard that one yet, so checked the city charter which stated that no commissioner may secure services from the city and provided quite a penalty for do- ing same. Then went into Mana- ger King’s oiiice and asked him. He said he hadn’t heard any- thing of it and stated that it was the police who would handle the inspecting: One rumor down. Mind you, we are mighty happy to* get’ these leads as long as there is a stoi'y of some sort. It’s our job to make the story fact- ual. You folks’ just give’ us what you héar. ‘Next rumor was that there! was ari/.accident -and- one fellow had ‘ost three fingers .{and the other two hanging by shreds. Well it was the Galey Sweeting accident, which result- ed in a bad cut on-one finger but nothing serious. However both ended up in ~good stories and thanks. to our informants.
