At Key; West, beginning in the latter part; of December each year, the South-! ern Cross may be seen for a brief time just before dawn low in the southeastern sky. The time of rising advances about two hours per month, until by March 15 the Cross has just risen above the horizon about 11:30 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. It is visible for nearly four hours from rising to setting.
