Sawyer, Jr. | has a grove and truck garden, | that, a few days ago, he caught | a sawfish that measured 15 | feet two inches. The fish’s saw, which Mr. Sawyer has cleaned and kept: «) is considerably longer than an army officer’s sword. Mr. Sawyer was fishing for Jewfish, with a thick cotton line, when he hooked the saw- fish. He did not succeed in playing out the fish till almost an hour's fighting. The sawfish is related to the shark femily, and its hide is more valuable than that of any other shark's, except the nurse. Chickens and ducks are being raised by Mr. Sawyer, in addition to the products from his crove end gardens.
