1941 THURSDAY, MAY 23, Plumbers Extended Extra Inning To Down Navy, 9-7; Army Buried Marines, 35-2 Sailors, Playing Best Ball Of Season, Led League Pacesetters In Early Frames of the last-place Navy last night extended the league-leading Plumbers an extra inning before Playing its best game season, capitulating, 9-7.
