G. Kantor’s, Inc., where the Big Removal Sale on men’s 'wear began this morning at 8:30 o'clock. Crowd of bargain seekers awaited the opening of the doors this morning and have kept the store’s sales force busy the en- tire day. Kantor’s Store will move in the near future to 517 Duval street in the Renedo Building. Being handicapped by a tremend- ous stock of merchandise in the present location and a large lot of goods on the way for the new store, the management has de- cided to sacrifice the entire stock now on hand at prices below cost. This was demonstrated by the large list of items shown in yesterday’s full-page advertise- ment in The Citizen. Kantor’s stock of clean and up- to-date merchandise includes practically all of the nationally such as Fortune and Jarman} advertised lines of men’s clothing, ; THE KEY WEST CITIZEN Liberty Ball To Honor Military Units “Liberty Ball”, a dance in| honor of the Officers of the local } | Army and Navy forces is now be- jing planned for November 6, at |the La Concha Hotel. Affair is being sponsored by the Catholic Daughters of Am- | erica, headed by Mrs. Jack Baker. | This group plans to do this affair up in big style and have many surprises in store for all who at- tend. Everyone attending Te- quested to dress in the colors red or blue in honor of the o¢- casion. Reservations can be made by calling phone 318. is All-Star Program At Cave-Inn Cave Inn Bar, Duval and Pe- tronia streets, is featuring an | All-Star program tonight head- |lined by “The Midgets”, smallest! The trouble about voluntary enlistment, according to Lieut. Col. Victor J. Trouble In World War About one-third of the more han 4,000,000 men jin all military fotces during the World war en- listed before enlistments were cut off in the closing months of the war. But the trouble was that they came in waves and so upset the selective service mechanism that, before 1918 was well along, army officials had no way of estimat- ing what they would get on a draft call. This situation, however, did: not arise until Class 1 was near-} ing exhaustion and _ probably; could not arise under the Burke- |} Wadsworth bill, unless some need | arose for greatly increasing the} hye REALTY TRANSFERS Mark D.
