Junior [bs| Woman's Club-DeMolay charity dance which was held last Satur- day night in the Rainbow Reom at La Concha hotel, reported this morning that the affair was “an ‘standing success, both socially and financially”. Winners of the “Smoothiest of smooth—dancing couples” contest were Harry Knight and Miss Barbara Langner, who outdanced twenty-five other couples in the Shower Honored Fortuna Lopez A kitchen shower given in honor of Miss Fortuna Lopez, who will be married on Saturday of this week to George Madden at a nuptial mass at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic church, was given last Friday afternoon at the home of Miss Ophelia Les- ter, 625 Division street, hostesses being Miss Lester, Miss Alce Curry and Mrs. Francis X. De- aney. Beautiful decorations greeted the guests at the shower, made up of japonica flowers and green fern. Refreshments were punch and assorted sandwiches, cakes and mints, served buffet style. Miss Lester and Miss Curry pre- sided at the punch bowl. Mrs. Leonard T. Curry took high honors at cards, bridge and tummy, while Mrs. Allen E. Curry won consolation prize. Guests included Mrs. Allen E. Curry, Mrs. William B. Norman, Mrs. Ralph Milnar. Mrs. J. B. Hayes, Mrs. Leonard Curry, Mrs. Martin Wilhelm, Mrs. W.
