HOW STATE’S RIGHTS VANISH Last week, by radio, the President authcrized the expenditure of $272,500 of WPA money to aid Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut to meet blizzard and storm damage. There should be no objection to the action taken by the President, but it is in- teresting to remind citizens who protest against the centralization of authority in this country that such measures inevitably of state govern- ments.
