An April warranty deed re- vealed sale of 2% acres of Key Vaccas from L. L. Heaton ‘to Florence B. Gallat. The deed was recorded this week. Lewis M. TEN YEARS AGO Elks’ annual memorial service will be keld at San Carlos to- morrow afternoon at which time an excellent program will be carried out, consisting of addres- ses and musical numbers. Roll call of absent members, an im- pressive event, will be held. Dr. William R. Warren will deliver the main oration. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Greene of Duluth, Min winter resi dents of the city, will arrive this | year on December 20, to spend another season in the Woman's Club, second floor of which they have engaged for the season. Mrs. Greene is past president of the Woman's Club of Duluth. One of the local fishing boats came into port this morning with a catch of 1,400 pounds of mack- erel, while other vessels also de- livered large ecatchi Additional boats are to arrive during the day and all have large catches, according to reports reaching the ; city. The Everglades team, which derives its name from Colonel Thompson’s boat that winters here each summer, played a great game of football this morning at the High School Park, and suc- ceeded in defeating the Trevor and Morris aggregation by a score of 12 to 6. FIFTEEN YEARS AGO As a result .of the heavy winds which have been blewing from the north for the past week or so, vast schools of mackerel and kingfish have begun to make their appearance in the waters from Spenish Key to Key West.
