President Roosevelt has been some- what indifferent to strikes in general but strikes against the government is some- thing else, and he has emphatically stated to the WPA workers that “You cannot strike against the government.” Tt’s about time for somebody to - in- vent something to take the place of the special weeks, inasmuch as the fifty-two wéeks of the year are'‘now burdened by abobt fifty-seven varieties of specials.
