With this figure for January it can readily be seen that a three- month period will bring over $200,000 to the city. Up on the Keys far-sighted persons aie at present seeking the most hkely spots for develop- ment. These spots must have! deep harbors, which will be a} protection to the hundreds of yachts that will be there, both owned by residents from the north and by visiting yachtsmen. Probably the most rapidly grow- ing key is Marathon, with a hur-; ricane harbor originally: used by boats when the F.E.C.- railroad} was built and used for a century before by fishermen and wreck-; ers. Many important and beau- tiful residences are going up at! that key. The settlement is thriv- ing with a number of stores and! amusement places. Other likely locations will be Big Pine Key, which even has} fresh water; Overseas Road and; Toll Bridge cottages on Pigeon! The boy was killed, McCall said, when he used a handkerchief to prevent an out ery. Early Decision Arrested a few days later, he admitted the crime, and said he wanted the $10,000 ransom to get “some of the better things of life”. He led federal and state officers to a thicket where he had placed the little boy’s body. The ransom money was recovered. McCall pleaded guilty to kid- naping for ransom, which carrie: a death sentence in Florida. He was not tried for the Cash child’s death. A death warrant was signed last July, but it was revoked a few days later when McCall, through Jawyers retained by his family, appealed to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court's decision of the case came down in less than a month after attorneys’ arguments were heard on De- cember 13.
