Miss Minnie-Porter Harris, treasurer, read the financial re- port, listing expenditures and re- ceipts for the past month, and also touched upon several small changes that afe being made in the library system. Mrs. Cosgrove read a_ letter that had been received from the Contest Director of the Miami Air Meet to be held shortly after the first of the coming year, in which he requested that a young woman of Key West be chosen to represent the city as Miss Aviation at the Air Meet. Mrs. Douglass explained that Miss Susan LaKin, a member of the Junior Woman's Club, had al- ready been selected as represen- tative for this event and had ac- » ~==Make Donation The-Hi-Y Club of the High donated two splendid boxes of groceries at Thanksgiv- ing, and these were duly deliver- ed to-two needy families by Mrs. Gladys Roberts of the Woman’s Club Welfare Department. It was agreed that many thanks should be given these Hi-Y boys for their charitable and thoughtful action, and it was further an- nounced that should anyone wish to make dofiations to needy fam- year. It was “Thoughtful Citi- zens In Action”, and contained among other splendid thoughts, the following: “In 1888 women were females; in 1898 they were ladies; in 1908 they were women; in 1938 they are citizens”. A choral group from the Coral Gables Club rendered a beauti- | ful program during this meeting, and it was suggested how fine it would be if all Women’s Clubs could have such a choral society.
