If the specifications are satisfac- tory, those interested are to re- {submit proposals in accordance with the specifications as drawn up by the council No definite time was set for receiving final proposals in the matter, as it was stated that it would take considerable time to study the specifications. It is ex- pected, however, that the matter will come before the council some time during the first part of June. Rejects Plumbers’ Code The plumbers’ code, which was drawn up recently, was presented and read at the meeting, but aft er some discussion it was decided to reject this code, as it wa shown to be unsatisfactory. This. it was explained, is due to the fact that it was drawn along the same lines as is now in effect in other cities, and which it was fell would not be applicable to condi- tions in Key West It was decided to have the plumbers of this city get together to draw up » code which would be entirely satisfactory to all con- cerned. The revised code will then be submitted to the council for its consideration. Mo Funds For Donation Louis Pollock, local jeweler, chairman of the White Way Com- | mittee, addressed the council, re- questing a donation of $100 to- } ward the expense of keeping the White Way lighted on Duval | stteet. Mr. Pollock asked that the donation be made at the rate of $25 per month until the full $100 had been donated.
