An offer to this effect has been made in writing to the local water board. Under the terms of this offer, drilling shall begin in 90 days; the com- pany shall drill without interrup- tion; it shall have six months to obtain a water supply and _ pro- duction of 50,000 gallons per day and 18 months to obtain a supply of 200,000,000 gallons a year. If sufficient water is obtained the water board will buy from Mr. Meacham 200,000,000 gallons * of water annually at 50 cents the thousand gallons for the first five years. The price will be gradually decreased until it reaches 15 cents a thousand gallons at the tea of 25 years. In case the water boaré accepts the proposal drilling may begin in considerably less’ than three months, Mr. Meacham states. A driller who has ample equipment for the work has al- ready been engaged.
