Relief Problem Is Fought With Health Program (By Associated Press) BATON ROUGE, La., Feb. 25— Louisiana is digging into the roots of the relief problem with a $1,- 000,000 health program. The theory is that a man, given back his health, may find himself a job and cease being a public burden. Another idea is that his children will have better chances of growing into useful, self-sup- Porting citizens if their health is guarded. Accordingly, the state already is building one hospital for relief clients and is considering two oth- ers in addition to a $12,000,000 charity hospital being constructed in New Orleans from separate funds and still another charity hospital now in operation. CHAMBER OF | COMMERCE BRIEFS | We begin to reap the harvest of the seed planted months ago, when we replied to inquiries. It makes life worth living “when people call to say that they have had a splendid time and are sure- ly coming back again. A majority of the callers say that they like Key West because it is “different”, and urge us to keep it different. All over Flor- ida, they say, they find agonized efforts to keep visitors “amused”, usually by a class they would not care to associate with, and they feel that Key West complimer them when it assumes that they are normal Americans, perfectly capable of having a good time in such surroundings as Key West has to offer.
