Casa Marina Opening Dinner | Dance Was Brilliant Event The Casa Marina presented a brilliant spectacle at the formal Opening dinner and dance last evening. The dining room was thronged, everybody was in holi- day mood, and gaiety and high spirits were the order of the eve- ning. Literally, it went off with a bang. Even the rain, which drove the dancers indoors soon after midnight, failed to dampen the holiday atmosphere and the celebration was renewed with greater intensity indoors. 4 The new Casa Marina bar was the subject of much favorable comment on the beauty and uni- queness of its design. There were many delighted oh’s and ah’s in admiration of the outdoor dance terrace. It really presented a beautiful sight with its soft flood- lighting effects, the fairy lamps in the coconut palms, and the gay- ly colored marquees and terrace furniture. It was the consensus of opinion that the initial performance of the new Casa Marina orchestra, under the direction of Dave Car- son, was an unqualified success, jand.left no doubt that it will fill jo¥ery important place in the sea- the:brilliance of scene and its attend- it “ec! the outdoor SHE BRAeent “eclipsed the ladies WSIOTIIITS, LAUGHS IN BOARD OF ‘PERSONAL MENTION HEALTH WORK OFTEN - oe | Miss Marguerite- Hernandez, of |628 White street, this city, is a | visitor in Miami, and is a guest at the Columbus Hotel.
